When we first started building lures, we had fun testing them. We fished in the surf, on the Cape Cod Canal and from a boat. While we fished, people showed interest in the plugs we were casting.
During one of my past jobs, I worked with mechanical engineers – it was probably one of my best working experiences. One was into fishing, while the other liked challenges. I had so much fun bouncing ideas off of these two.
They were the first to become part of my R&D team.
Since then the team has grown, we have fishermen and non-fishermen to test our products.
They check plugs for weight, action and durability. We often listen to other fishermen talk about their experiences with other lure manufactures. We like to learn from them and try to improve our product line.
